the platform is a project configurator with automatic selection of various categories of IT equipment in various areas (network and server equipment, data storage systems, wireless access, telephony and video conferencing, uninterruptible power supplies, corporate software) and their comparison between different manufacturers whose catalogs are available on platform.
#01. Design
Challenge:
- create a stylish and simple interface that is thoughtful in terms of UI / UX
- pronounced moderate strictness of corporate style, given that the product is felt B2B
Solution:
- creating a unique UI and UX from scratch
- testing on real users
- improvement of UI and UX according to the identified shortcomings
#02. Web service
Challenge:
- the work of system integrators is dispersed among different companies
- unformalized provided requirements for equipment, huge amounts of data from equipment catalogs do not contribute to the rapid and accurate selection of IT infrastructure components
- a large number of manufacturers of the same type and relatively simple IT equipment that constantly compete with each other
- the need to automate and simplify the main functions performed by specialists in the field of IT infrastructure integration
Solution:
- implemented the unification of the method of providing information, automation of the selection of equipment from large data arrays in product catalogs
- the ability to load the specification of a certain manufacturer and obtain from this specification similar specifications of another selected (available) manufacturer or a specification of a mixed type
- the ability to create and maintain an online IT infrastructure design according to your own methodology (development of a technical concept – High Level Design, detailed technical design and solution – Low Level Design, operational documentation – Maintenance (Operatonal) Design)
- implementation of a warning if any of the equipment from two or more different manufacturers, for technical reasons, is not compatible with each other in one solution, or a technical compatibility error was made during the execution of the project
- the ability to create a configuration file based on the infrastructure design created on the resource and the received specification
- creation and preparation of reports to solve the tasks and problems of the transition of enterprises to digital transformation, optimize their existing IT infrastructure and increase its efficiency, optimize adopted IT policies
#03. Admin panel
Challenge:
- the need to create an internal site control panel for the administrator and managers
- ability to manage roles in the system
- the need to track data on user payments
- the need to manage user projects, equipment in the system
Solution:
- the ability to create users of the public and administrative parts of the resource, view data about users on the resource, edit data, block access for users to the resource and delete them
- implemented the ability for the administrator to create, edit, delete roles, as well as edit the set of rights for each role
- the administrator has access to the payment history for each user, as well as the ability to change the tariff plan for the user
- the possibility of technical support by the administrator of the user’s project has been implemented
- implemented the ability to control the system equipment and its characteristics
- the ability of the user of the administrative panel to create, edit and delete questionnaires that are designed to determine the necessary equipment in the process of creating a specification
- the ability for the user of the administrative panel to create, rename and delete sections of documents
